“A giant nothing which has become a something”: There exists no pithier a description for the United States government than this. Art can help us navigate the terrain ruled by this giant nothingness-become-somethingness, yet it can’t simply offer how-to’s. If it wants to be relevant, it has to introduce new affects and ways of being in the world.
